Songs That Get My Juices Flowing #105

When I made my collection of favorite songs from 2011 (which you can find here), I forgot to include Henric de la Cour. I also forgot P.J. Harvey, Laura Marling, Gorillaz, Beastie Boys, Wallis Bird, Little Dragon, and a few others.

Oh well. C'est la vie.

Here's the de la Cour song I would've included had I not had a brain fart:

X-mas Songs That Aren't X-mas Songs

A bunch of songs that have absolutely nothing to do with Christmas, but always give me a warm, fuzzy, Christmas-y feeling. This usually just means that there's a xylophone in there somewhere, or perhaps a bit of strings. That's all I need.

For something more traditional, my immaculate X-mas mix of 2008 still works.

Merry Christmas.

7. Nancy Wilson & Cannonball Adderley - A sleeping bee

Best of 2011

I've put together a wee collection of one track each from twelve albums I enjoyed this year. No list or ranking or anything of the sort, they're in no particular order.

I'd tell you exactly what they are, but as I live in constant fear of the web sheriff, you'll have to download this blindly.

It's incredible and worth your time, that's about all I can tell you.
